Grandville's curriculum is constantly evolving to meet the requirements of the Michigan Department of Education and to provide high levels of learning for every student. Our schools offer a "small-town feel" with "big-city opportunities," ensuring that students preparing for college or the workforce are fully equipped for their futures.
A Tradition of High Achievement
Grandville Public Schools consistently ranks among the top 5% of districts in the nation (Niche, 2026) and the top 15% of high schools in Michigan.
Leading SAT Scores: Our students consistently outperform county and state averages, with a recent average SAT score of 1210. The 2024-2025 school year saw a 27-point increase in the GHS average total mean score, a rate of improvement more than double the national and state levels.
Advanced Placement (AP) Success: We offer 22 different AP courses. In 2025, 87% of AP students earned college credit, and 18 of our 22 courses exceeded state and global pass rates.
K-8 Growth: Our students show strong achievement in reading and math. For example, the district's MTSS System provides specialized support, leading to impressive growth metrics, such as Grand View 1st grade achieving the highest growth measure in the district for reading.
Graduation Readiness: The district boasts a 97% graduation rate.
Elementary & Intermediate Excellence
Blue Ribbon Distinction: Two of our elementary schools are National Blue Ribbon winners.
Foundational Arts: Every elementary student receives weekly art and music instruction.
Oakestown Intermediate: Our specialized facility for 5th and 6th graders provides a tailored environment for middle-years development
Middle School Innovation
STEM & Robotics: Grandville is home to the world-renowned RoboDawgs, with the program growing to over 160 K-12 teams and a dedicated Robotics Competition Center.
Hands-on Learning: Curriculum includes 5th/6th grade STEM classes and 7th/8th grade computer coding and robotics classes.
High School & Career Preparation
Advanced CTE Programming: Students can gain professional certifications before graduation, including:
Aeronautics: Drone pilot and private pilot ground school certification.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Training for careers in healthcare and public safety.
Weller Auto Tech Center: State-of-the-art facility offering ASE certification.
Seal of Biliteracy: Students can receive this endorsement on their diplomas by demonstrating proficiency in two or more languages.
Business Leadership: A strong DECA program encourages leadership through academic conferences and competitions.
